Ritual of the Week: Morning Intention Setting

Ritual of the Week: Morning Intention Setting

Start Your Day with Purpose

This week's ritual is simple but powerful: Morning Intention Setting. It takes 5 minutes and sets the tone for your entire day.

What You'll Need:

• Your Initiation Log (or any journal)
• 5 minutes of quiet time
• Optional: Your morning beverage of choice

The Practice:

Step 1: Ground yourself (1 minute)
Sit comfortably. Take three deep breaths. Feel your body in the chair, your feet on the ground. You're here. You're present.

Step 2: Reflect on yesterday (1 minute)
What went well? What challenged you? No judgment — just observation. Write one sentence about yesterday.

Step 3: Set your intention (2 minutes)
Ask yourself: What do I want to bring into today? Not what you need to do, but how you want to show up. Write it down.

Examples:
• "Today, I choose presence over productivity."
• "I will listen more than I speak."
• "I'm open to what unfolds."

Step 4: Anchor it (1 minute)
Read your intention out loud. Feel it. Then close your journal and carry it with you into the day.

Why It Works:

Most people start their day reacting — to emails, to notifications, to demands. This ritual flips that. You start by choosing. And that choice becomes your anchor when the day gets chaotic.

Try it for one week. Track what shifts.
